3 Days Gorilla Trek from Entebbe
Entebbe to Bwindi and back in three days, with a night on Lake Bunyonyi and the Equator on the way home.
Three days from Entebbe is tight, and we will not pretend otherwise: two long drives either side of the trek. But it works, and if Uganda is where your flight lands and the gorillas are the point, this is the shortest honest way to do it.

Day by day
- Day 1
Entebbe to Bwindi
We meet you at Entebbe airport and set off south-west — about seven hours, with lunch on the way, from the lakeshore through savannah country to the terraced hills of Kigezi. Evening at the lodge on the forest edge.
Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla Lodge
- Day 2
Gorilla trekking, then Lake Bunyonyi
The briefing with the rangers and trackers, and the trek — one to six hours on steep, muddy ground, so good boots and gloves matter more than anything else you pack. One hour with the family, then the drive down to Lake Bunyonyi.
Overnight: Itambira Island Resort
- Day 3
Back to Entebbe, by the Equator
The long drive back, with lunch on the way and a stop at the Equator. You reach Entebbe airport around six in the evening — so book an evening flight.

About the gorilla permit
The permit is included in the price and bought in your name from the Uganda Wildlife Authority — currently USD 800 each for foreign non-residents, less in April, May and November. We pass it through at cost and send you the reference number so you can see it is real.
UWA takes full payment when the permit is booked and does not hold them, so a trek is only confirmed once the permit is paid. How permits work →
